On December 6th, 2015, Da Nang will hold the special event, namely “Danang Barefoot Run 2015 to 2016.” This is considered the first-time barefoot jogging event at the city, which is expected to appeal for more than 5,000 amateur athletes, along with the strong participation of the local people and travelers of all ages from domestic to foreign areas.

Promoted by the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and the Bo Bien Ngoc Communicative Company, the programme aims to introduce the gorgeous beauty Da Nang beaches as well as improve the health for the citizens, local tourists and foreigners.

The event also sets a stepping-stone for a huge chain of important events in the future, such as worldwide sailing race (Clipper Race 2015-2016), Asian Beach Game 5 (ABG5), and so on.

After the first organization on this December 6th 2015, the event will frequently be held in different moments per year around.

Da Nang beach – one of the picturesque beaches on the planet – will be the ideal place for participants to show off their running skill. The event is trusted to bring not only a new and fun playfield as well as an unforgettable experience, but also get much attention from joiners.

Along with the programme, there will also be a lot of meaningful activities. Especially, Green Viet Organization will call volunteers and students to give their supportive hands on cleaning the beach together. The process of cleaning will be carried out before, during, and after the event to make sure that the city beach shall be preserved as the target “Green – Clean – Beautiful.

Besides, at 19:00 PM the day before the main event will take place (December 5th, 2015), an exciting music concern with the participation of many notable singers and artists will also be held at East Sea Park.
